The Birds by Frank Baker - book

In 1936 writer Frank Baker released a thriller about a day in which pre-war London is suddenly visited by birds... a lot of birds. Once the number grows far too large to count the birds, without warning, rhyme, nor reason, start attacking everyone. Sound familiar? 

27 years later Alfred Hitchcock, and screenwriter Evan Hunter would deny ever having read Baker's novel when making The Birds, instead insisting that they we're using a Daphne Du Maurier short story as a basis instead. If you ask us, that is hard to believe. 

Thankfully Baker's classic is back in print, and we're fortunate enough to be able to offer to you.
