Blood Simple (1984) - Blu-ray - Used - Criterion Collection

Blood Simple is The Coen's brother's first film and we'd argue that it's about as close to a horror movie as they would make. A lot of this has to do with their amazing ability to build tension, not to mention some cool make up effects, a shot or two directly inspired by Evil Dead, and the perfomance of M. Emmet Walsh as the slimiest Private Detective ever put on screen.
